The BLACC House, aims to empower youth through health, wellness, and the Arts by providing educational programming and community-based experiences to support mental, physical and creative growth. We provide youth in the Washington, DC area with equitable access to wellness education, movement-based programming, and creative arts experiences that foster confidence, leadership, healthy lifestyles, and self-expression.
We explored diverse topics like trauma, dating, self-confidence, societal expectations, and the challenges facing DC youth.

Sports Nutrition
We educate youth on the importance of nutrition as fuel for growth, athletic performance, energy, focus, and recovery. Students learn healthy eating habits, hydration practices, and the connection between food, physical health, and mental wellness.
Mental Health Awareness
We are committed to creating safe and supportive environments that encourage emotional wellness, self-expression, stress management, and mental health awareness. Youth are provided with tools to build confidence, emotional regulation skills, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.
Life Skills
We believe life skills are essential for long-term success. Through mentorship and educational experiences, youth develop communication skills, leadership, decision-making abilities, responsibility, teamwork, and self-discipline that can be applied in school, sports, relationships, and everyday life.

Youth Strength & Conditioning
We provide structured strength and conditioning opportunities that help youth safely build athletic performance, body awareness, balance, speed, agility, and functional strength while promoting proper training techniques and long-term physical development.
Injury Prevention
We prioritize injury prevention education by teaching youth proper body mechanics, mobility, recovery practices, stretching, and movement techniques that help reduce injury risks while supporting overall athletic and physical wellness.
Yoga for Athletes
Our Yoga for Athletes programming combines movement, flexibility, mindfulness, balance, breath control, and recovery techniques to support both physical and mental performance. Youth learn how to improve mobility, coordination, focus, body awareness, and injury prevention while developing emotional regulation, confidence, and self-discipline. This approach teaches young athletes the importance of recovery, balance, and long-term wellness as part of overall athletic success.

Our 3-D art experiences introduce youth to creative design, sculpture, modeling, and hands-on artistic construction that develops creativity, spatial thinking, innovation, and artistic exploration.

We are partnering with 3 athletic teams to enhance performance and student wellness through Yoga for Athletes. We volunteer 1–2 times a week for 30–45 minute sessions at your school.
